Dr. Jacquelyn DenHeyer
Dr. Jackie was born and raised in northern New Jersey. She earned her bachelor’s from the University of Rochester. She later graduated Cum Laude from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she received her DVM. and a surgical excellence award. Dr. Jackie then worked in New York State in a small animal practice prior to returning to the Hamburg Veterinary Clinic team, where she is now our Medical Director. She and her husband are the proud parents of 2 children and 2 unruly beasts: Bella, an Australian Shepherd, and Miss Puss, a cat with an attitude.

Dr. Scott Martens
Born in Sussex County, Dr. Martens has always been interested in animal health and welfare. Being mentored at a very young age by a neighborhood veterinarian, his career path was certain from very early on. After finishing his undergraduate studies at Pennsylvania State University early, he attended the University Of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, where he focused on small animal medicine and surgery. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Veterinariae Mediciniae Doctoris in 1997. After practicing briefly post-graduation in southern California as a relief and emergency veterinarian, Dr. Martens returned back to his hometown area to establish his veterinary roots.
